Photo Restoration

Thursday has become a heritage night of sorts here. Each of us have some project going that will allow us to preserve our family memories and faith for future generations.

Paul focused on photo restoration. He loves doing this type of work, and it's nice for us since we have all of these old family photographs that aren't looking so great.

This is his parents when they were first married- before restoration:

These are his maternal Grandparents before restoration:

Photo restoration is so important...many times the damage to photos only gets worse as the years go by- and while you are at it, having extras of these old photos allow other members of the family to have their own copies instead of precious pictures only being passed to one family member. We are planning to make copies of these for each of my children to have in their own homes one day.

Though most of these people have passed in recent years, I want my children to know who they are. These are going to be framed for my dresser. Next week, he's going to work on some of my old family photos...now to choose which ones! : )

If you are interested, Paul does photo restoration for others as well. You can contact him through his Consulting Paul website or email at Paul(dot)Lambert(at)ConsultingPaul(dot)com for the specifics!

Linux

Greetings,

A few days ago I finished creating my Duel-Boot between Microsoft Windows 2000 and Ubuntu Linux. Because I custom built my computer it makes 3D Animation, Programming, and Movie Editing easier.

As usual I have been working in Blender, trying to get a bit more practice with it. As for now I am experimenting with its particle system to create a smoke effect for my Blender Train.

Featured Media Blog:

Today I am going to feature Red Moose Designs. This blog is similar to the blog I featured on Friday, this is a Blender 3D media blog ran by Matt. Red Moose Designs is a blog with Matt's blender creations and other cool media stuff like his experimentation with the voodoo camera tracking program. Be sure to stop by Red Moose Designs.

Today's Scripture:

Psalm 61:2-42

From the ends of the earth I call to you,

I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.

4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
Selah

Thanks for coming by!

Content: The Critical Component

You may have the biggest budget, the nicest set and soundstage, award winning cameras,and a wonderful staff, but without a script that is full of content, your production will fail.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Proverbs 3:5-8

Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil.

This will bring health to your body
and nourishment to your bones.

Wishing you a lovely day,

Blender Train

Greetings,

Today I have decided to share with you my latest media production, my 3D train for my Dad's TV show. Here are some pictures of it:

The Train will be used as a transition bumper for cutting the TV show camera cuts together, I will try to post an example of this later.

Featured Media Blog:

Today, the blog I am featuring is Graphics For God this blog is a Christian (Big A+) media site where the blog owner makes very cool 3D graphics using Blender. Be sure to stop by Graphics For God and take a look!

Todays Scripture:

This is some scripture that I wanted to include in todays posting:

----------------------------------------------

Proverbs 3:4-6 (New International Version)

4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.

5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Thanks for coming,
